Three Ways For The Linear Bearings Of The Alcohol Equipment Of Medical Alcohol To Be Corroded!

Sep 03, 2021

Alcohol equipment parts are corroded differently due to different use environments. Of course, linear bearings can't escape this fate of being eroded. Here is a detailed analysis of three ways of erosion.

1. Cavitation

Cavitation of linear bearings in alcohol equipment is a form of surface damage that occurs when a solid surface is in contact with liquid and moves relative to each other. When the lubricating oil is in the low pressure area of the oil film, bubbles will be formed in the oil. After the bubbles move to the high pressure area, the bubbles will collapse under the action of pressure. At the moment of collapse, great impact and high temperature will be generated. The solid surface is here. Under the repeated action of the impact force, the material fatigued and fell off, causing small pits on the friction surface, which then developed into sponge-like scars. Cavitation often occurs in heavy-duty, high-speed sliding bearings with large changes in load and speed.

2. Fluid erosion

The fluid erosion of the linear bearing of alcohol equipment refers to that the fluid violently impacts the solid surface, which will cause fluid erosion, causing dot-like scars on the solid surface, and the damaged surface is relatively smooth.

3. Electric erosion

The electrical erosion of the linear bearing of the alcohol equipment refers to the electric spark generated between the friction surface of the linear bearing due to the electric leakage of the motor or the electrical appliance, causing point-like scars on the friction surface. The characteristic is that the damage reciprocates on the harder journal surface.
