Choose according to the working environment, load, rigidity, installation size, lead, precision and other parameters of the ball screw.
1. First, determine the precision of the screw rod. According to the needs, choose a precision ground screw or an ordinary rolling screw. The ball screw is divided into a precision level and an ordinary level. The precision ball screw, that is, the ground ball screw, has (C0-C5) accuracy; the ordinary ball screw has two types: C7 and C10.
2. Then look at the shaft diameter of the screw rod and the pitch of the thread (the scientific name is lead, which is actually the distance the nut moves when the screw rotates once). The two parameters of screw outer diameter and lead determine the load (load and speed) of the ball screw, and they are standard values. Calculate selection based on the conditions mentioned above.
3. Effective thread length and total length: Effective thread refers to the maximum moving distance of a screw rod plus the total length of the nut, plus a safety distance of 100mm. The total length refers to the effective thread length plus the length of the shaft end. The length and size of the shaft end are made according to the specific requirements of the customer.
4. Choose the nut shape according to the installation environment, flange type or non-flange type, full circle type or square type. Determine the outer diameter and thickness of the flange, the length of the nut, and the location of the mounting hole. These aspects are certain, and a screw is roughly selected. As for the processing form of the shaft end, it depends on the specific needs of the customer and the drawing is made.
